Sixth Form Results
We are delighted that our students have once again done fantastically well with a record breaking set of exam results. Top grades are up again with 30% of all grades being A* or A with over three quarters of all grades are at A*-C. We have also seen a 100% pass rate at A-Level despite the more challenging A-Level qualifications.
We have yet again performed outstandingly in the facilitating subjects securing our place as one of the leading sixth forms in the county with A- level students gaining at least 2 grades AAB in some of the most demanding A-Level subjects. Just one example of this is the 100% A*-B achievement of our A-Level Chemists each one securing no less than a grade B. This once again shows that our most able students have performed brilliantly despite the tougher A-level exams.
Particular congratulations must go to Lucy Walker who achieved A*AA grades and Megan Hughes who achieved AAA grades. Lucy has gained a place at Liverpool University to study Adult Nursing and Megan has gained a place at Manchester University to study Midwifery.

Particular praise going to Rachel Young who achieved Distinction* Distinction Distinction and Aimmee Craney who achieved Distinction* Distinction Merit.
We are also delighted that Charlie Seddon has also gained a place studying medicine at Lancaster University after a year out gaining work experience, having secured A*AA last year.
Once again our students have done themselves proud with every single student passing every single qualification they studied with the vast majority of them meeting or exceeding their aspirational target grades. Here at Our Lady’s we are able to offer all students the curriculum and course that is right for their learning style and students consistently do exceptionally well on academic, vocational or a mix of the two. We congratulate our students and their parents and thank them and their teachers for their hard work and dedication in securing these tremendous outcomes. Our combination of fantastic students, supportive parents, professional caring staff and smaller than average class sizes have led to these record breaking results.
Almost all our students have secured their first choice of university place with students also successful in assuring places on high quality apprenticeship schemes in Civil Engineering, Business and Accountancy. We are delighted that our students can now embark on the next stage of their careers and we wish them all the very best for the future.
