Sixth Form Taster Day – Wednesday 1st July 2026

We are delighted to invite all students who have applied to join Our Lady’s Catholic College Sixth Form in September 2026 to attend our Sixth Form Taster Day.

This important event gives students the opportunity to experience Sixth Form life, try out potential subjects, and make informed decisions about their future studies.

Key Information

• Date: Wednesday 1st July
• Time: 9.15am – approximately 2.15pm
• Arrival: School reception
• Dress code: Smart casual (appropriate for a school setting)
• Lunch: A light lunch will be provided

What to Expect

Students will:

• Attend three taster lessons in subjects they are considering
• Take part in a welcome session and final briefing
• Receive information about Sixth Form study and expectations
• Have the opportunity to ask questions and speak with staff

 

Timetable Overview

• 9.15 – 9.30: Arrival and registration
• 9.30 – 10.00: Welcome session
• 10.05 – 11.05: Taster Lesson 1
• 11.05 – 11.25: Break
• 11.25 – 12.25: Taster Lesson 2
• 12.25 – 1.25: Taster Lesson 3
• 1.25 – 2.05: Lunch
• 2.05 – 2.15: Final session and distribution of information

Students will receive their detailed taster day timetable on arrival.

Action Required

All students who have already applied have been emailed and are asked to complete the Microsoft Form sent to:

• Confirm attendance
• Indicate preferred subjects

This helps us plan the day effectively. Subject choices can still be adjusted on the day.
