Year 8 Football - Match Report

The Year 8 battled valiantly and won lots of respect, even though they lost their first game in the Lancashire cup and have been knocked out by Clitheroe Grammar. However the team were praised by  Mr Marton who stated 'the boys should be very proud of themselves as they all played really well, particularly Owain Kirkbride-Duckett and Daniel Smilie.'

Even the parents of the Clitheroe pupils came over and said what a shame it was that such a good team was knocked out so early and that we had a strong team who played well until the end and didn't just give up. The match was a great test of their resiliant nature and it will surely help them in their future football games to know they should never back down, but should keep on playing their best football through the whole 90 minutes.
