Cross Country Running Event
Through the cold bitter winds, a few brave individuals took the muddy hills of Ripley St Thomas in the annual cross-country event on Saturday 14th January.
From years 7,8 and 9 we had both male and female representatives who took part in this year's challenging course. They battled through the mud, hills and trees for this event and the staff at Our Lady's couldn't be more pleased and proud of their achievement and success. A huge congratulations to Braidy-Lei McMahon who competed in her own age group and the year group above her, Brady-Lei successfully fought off the competition from the year 9 competitors and finished in excellent time.
We had a close race between two of our year 7 boys, Owain Kirkbride-Duckett and Seamus Sharkey, who battled it out for a place in this year's district cross-country team with Seamus narrowly missing out in the final stretch. Well done to Owain who will be going through to the district cross-country race next month!
A huge well done to all that took part, we are extremely proud of you and appreciate you using valuable weekend time to compete for the school. We look forward to next year's race!
Please see the attached images for some photographs of the students competing.
