Year 7 was a slow starting match as important decisions regarding batting and the bowling order were decided. Luce ended up making some great decisions with their bowlers and Veritas were all out for 21 points with another over to go. However Veritas were not giving up without a fight. Will Sharkey got a quick 10 runs off the first over however things slowed down and on the 3rd over no runs were scored by Luce due to some excellent bowling and fielding from Veritas.

Year 9 was a very tactical game. Both teams tried to match bowlers with their batting order. Positioning was good within the fielding team and the match was started with Luce batting first. The match was pretty even with a few good hits from Presley to find the boundary. There were a few wide balls bowled but on the whole most found their mark with some fast bowling from Jonny Hart. It was a steady innings from Luce, however when Veritas stepped up to bat, the feeling was very different. Some big hits early on meant Ben Kent was caught out early on. There was an excellent reflex catch from Dylan and then the chase was on.
