Choosing Your Subjects In some cases, you’ll need specific A-Levels/BTECs to get on certain university courses and therefore you’ll need specific GCSEs to do those A-Levels/BTECS. Most universities and colleges only accept GCSE pass grades of 4/5 - 9 for most degree courses. At OLCC, we accept 5 Level 4 GCSEs (or L2 BTEC equivalent), including English and Maths.
